Vintage Ornate Sterling Silver Carved Blue popular Scarab Brooch

popular In ancient Egyptian religion, the scarab was a symbol of immortality, resurrection and transformation. A lovely carved blue scarab is at the center of this beautiful brooch. The scarab, which has carvings on the other side, is prong set in an ornate frame. It is about 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" wide. It has a c clasp for closure. It is in wonderful vintage condition.
