Original Painting Wall Art, Rural popular Utah Autumn Landscape, October Field, Acrylic Impressionism Knife, Vertical 7 X 5
Original Painting "October Field".
STYLE. Painting loosely, big brush strokes, swipes from the palette knife, and bold color all combine to create energy and an image much more lively and interesting than faithful reproduction of reality. Bottom line my style can be called representational but impressionistic, occasionally bordering on the abstract.
SUBJECT: It's October and the colors are changing, still plenty of green to be seen but the yellows and reds have started to come out in this rural landscape with a grassy field and meadow in the foreground with a group of bushes and trees at the back and a small shed as a focal point. This painting was painted entirely with palette knives with thick paint giving it a great deal of texture as can be seen in the detail photos.
QUALITY: I use only archival, artist quality materials in making my paintings. You can rest assured your original painting is one of a kind and will last generations. I affix and seal a label to the back of each painting detailing the size, medium and title of the painting as well as including my signature.
Statement: I've lived in northern Utah most of my life and enjoy exploring the landscape here especially the mountains and rural areas. I stick to the back roads looking for scenes that harken back to a simpler time and hike the mountains heeding the call of nature. In particular I love the abstract shapes of trees and especially when they interact with the geometric shapes of man made objects such as barns, trucks popular and tractors.
