Hand woven ethnic Maya poncho or huipil from popular Chichi vintage in rich berries (burgundy , fucsia , brown) hand weaved on a backstrap loom

Beautiful huipil with intricate Mayan cosmography figures, national bird Quetzal design and hand made embroidery,great find this huipil is circa 1980 .
The huipil was made in Chichi by local artisans. This huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 3 rich white cotton base panels.The center panel detailed and it features designs from the Mayan area of Chichicastenango.
The hand embroidered collar is unique to these huipils and this example is particularly fine.

Is an excellent piece although popular pre loved it keeps it bright color and untouched color .
Ideal to match with skinny pants or elegant pants for a night out.
