According to the ecclesiastical tradition, the icon located in the Holy Monastery of Chilandari on Mount Athos comes from the Lavra of Saint Sabbas the Sanctified. In the 13th century AD. the holy icon was transferred to the Orchard of the Virgin Mary by Saint Sabbas of Serbia.
