This is a pair of of original pumps/heels from the 1920's.
They are made of black leather.
They have a 3 1/8" heel.
Original inner soles that reads "Mary Jane Reg. U.S. Pat Office".
They just do not make shoes like this anymore! These are made to last! Very well constructed and made of quality materials!
They have steel shanks inside the sole of the shoe. The shank prevents the heel from spreading out when you walk or stand.
I don't see a clear size marking but there are these numbers on the inside of each shoe "235 1400 8000 56".
The shoe measures 9" long from toe to heel inside. 2 5/8" wide across the ball of the foot.
I wear 6 1/2 in this style heels and I couldn't even get them on! They are very tiny and narrow.
The shoes are in good condition for being 100 years old! The right shoe is free of any major scuffs - the left shoe has a scuff at the toe and at the back of the heel. The inner soles are intact and the soles are sound.
