Product code: Gorgeous Pair of Peking Blue Glass Demitasse popular Cups and Saucers with Copper Handles

These beautiful blue Peking glass demitasse cups would be perfect for your after-dinner coffee, tea, or espresso! Peking glass was invented in Peking, China during the eighteenth century. It was originally used to replicate the more expensive and harder jade and was used for snuff boxes and vases. These cups are estimated to be from the late-nineteenth, or early-twentieth century. The popular glass is a unique shade of blue and translucent in the light (see photos). The cups measure 2” in diameter x 3” (including handle) x 2” tall, and the saucers measure 3 3/4" in diameter and 1/2" deep. These cups are in pristine condition with no chips or cracks; there are two white marks/flaws on one of the saucers (see last photo). The production process results in some uneven edges and the copper handles have an aged patina. The nearly translucent colored glass cups and saucers would be beautiful and useful in any modern home!
