Stunning Vintage Villeroy and Boch Burgenland Sugar Bowl and Pourer Pink and Cream Floral 2 Piece Duo Mid Century

This is a very beautiful set comprising of a sugar bowl and milk jug from one of Europe's most prestigious porcelain manufacturers Villeroy Et Boch. The design is called Burgenland. Burgenland is a state in Austria and the scene on the inside of the cup depicts one of the towns. This region is famous for making wine. This is the pink and cream colour way of the design which is rarer to find than the the blue and cream version.

The pink and cream is a wonderful combination and is a wonderful set of cups perfect for country style decor.

These are in wonderful vintage contain with no chips or cracks. There is some unevenness to the glaze in places which would be from the manufacturing process. The sugar bowl dates to the 1950's and jug is slightly older dating to the 30's. This style has been manufactured since the 30s until the 80's and is very popular. The age of the items can be told from the stamps on the bottom.
