Digital Collage from Original Batiks on Fabric popular "Turquoise Dream" by Marjorie Claus

A stunning digital collage from original batiks on fabric by the artist Marjorie Claus. The print is entitled "Turquoise Dream". Marjorie's fascination popular with batik took her to Indonesia in 1974 to learn batik from batik masters. Batik is a process which uses hot wax as a resist to dyes on fabric. The waxed areas will not absorb color. They are protected by the wax. But since the dyes are transparent, when one color is layered upon another, or one image layered upon another, the initial image or color remains visible, but changed, when viewed through the new layer. This beautiful horse is showcased in a black frame with double cream matting and ready to make a statement in any room.
