Product code: Mason's Vista Pink popular Ironstone 6
Vista began production in 1890 & this piece can be dated to sometime after 1940 based upon the maker's mark which popular reads: Mason's (over a crown) Patent Ironstone China (inside a banner) Vista, England, Guaranteed Permanent & Acid Resisting Colors. This exquisite piece depicts an elegant garden scene surrounding a stately castle estate in the English countryside with passersby along the walkway. The border blends oak leaves and ivy to frame the inside and exterior of the octagon shaped bowl which is part of a nesting set. I will be listing the other bowls to this set so check back often. It measures 6.5" in dia. and it 3 1/4" deep. In excellent condition. Crazing is present. Please see photos as they give detail to the condition. Smudging of the transfer is common in this pattern.
