With a slice through the ice, Jingle Bell Skater makes quite an entrance in her festive skate costume, resplendent with silver accents! A lovely departure from the red and green holiday attire, her midnight blue is both an eye-catching and crisp contrast to her overall-white fabric that glistens like new-fallen snow in moonlight. I love her trim bands on cuffs and waistband, with their stylized snowflake patterns in metallic silver thread. The generous puff of her Julienne sleeves each have a jingle bell perched on top! Her hem scallop of beaded swags is adorned with little stars! The beads are iridescent in deep blue and purple hues, and are backed by two navy blue tulle layers that peek out below her hemline. She's a fantastic example of a winter skater and is quite unique in her creative costuming.
MY MISSION: I provide a doll for you that is fully ready for display on arrival at your home, beautiful and sturdy. Any flaws I detect which I could not remedy will be documented in the listing and doll priced accordingly. I keep extensive computer files on each listing with doll and box images.)The boxes, being the original homes for the dolls, are in variable condition, dependent on the original owner's care and storage. I will always mention box condition with the listing, or sleep eyes that open manually.
MY PROCESS: I remove from the box to re-style the hair and inspect/correct for anything that might be remiss. I feel this step is more important than listing "never removed from box." There are a few noteworthy exceptions, when I SPECIFICALLY KNOW THE HISTORY of the doll and habits of original owner. My patrons will know there will be no loose snaps, no tangled locks, damaged apron strings, no fragile, weakened rubber bands, ( I re-string when needed) no stained or faded clothing or problems with undergarments, no necklaces trapped in the neck or tresses. I restring with elastic cord, the preferred archival choice of "doll doctors."
MY PRICES: I calculate on: How readily popular available (or, conversely, hard to find,) whether complete with all accessories, my costs, my labor, condition of restored doll returned to box after completing the work. To include a doll stand with your order, please add $1.00 to your total.
