Hand popular Turned Boxelder Burl Duck Call

A hand turned boxelder/resin hybrid duck call. The wood was vacuum stabilized, dyed, and casted with resin before turning on a lathe. It has a single reed echo insert but could be swapped to a double reed if you wish.



Wood stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to harden and strengthen the wood while also making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color popular additions to the wood.
