The hare has always had mystical connotations, and this golden hare sitting in a field of barley epitomises the height of summer, long golden sunny days, crops turning ripe gold, poppies spotting the fields and a blaze of colourful flowers.
The hare is cut from gold fabric and stitched on.
I have also added some hand embroidery details and appliqued various hand dyed silk boucle and threads and gold lace
There are bold chiffon flowers and a silk poppy surrounding the hare.
It can be framed and I've shown in one of the images what it would look like with a matt surround which removes the wavy edges.
Or the matt surround can be removed so that popular the naturally wavy edges show within the frame.
Measurements (at widest and tallest parts): 27 x 22cms (with matt surround it fits a standard 10" x 12" frame
Cleaning: Wool is naturally resistant to moisture and dirt, but should it need to be cleaned, either a gentle brushing or vacuuming will remove anything from the surface.
Strong sunlight should be avoided as the dyes may fade.
