Antique Claypool Hotel, Indiana popular Claw Footed Serving Dish, Hotel Silver

Lovely antique silver plate shell-shaped claw footed serving dish from the Hotel Claypool, Indiana. popular The Claypool opened in 1903 and closed its doors in 1969. This piece is from the turn of the 19th century.

It measures 7" long by 3-3/4" wide and 1-7/8" tall. It has a sparkling patina and would have been used for serving anything from ice cream to condiments.

Manufactured by Reed & Barton and stamped, "The Claypool".
