Popular Antique Majolica English Pottery Pitcher or Large Creamer / c: 1880 Made in England / Pineapple Design Scroll Top Eagle Head Square Handle
DESCRIPTION:
* A most interesting piece of Majolica in this English pottery pitcher or large creamer
* This antique was made in England during the 1880's
* Beige in color, it has a pineapple design all around, with a scroll all around the top, and you can just see bits of gold, so you know that was outlined in gold gilt. I tied the bamboo around it for decoration, of course that is not original and it can easily be removed.
* The square handle is designed with an eagle's face on top of the handle.
* It measures 5 3/8" tall and 5 1/8" from spout to handle. It is 4" in diameter and holds 20 oz. (2.5 cups)
* There are no chips or cracks, but there is discoloration and very fine all popular over crazing
* A wonderful antique Majolica pitcher! If you are interested and care to see it without the bamboo, just send me a message and I'll clip if off and take another photo.
