Vintage Boxed Stanley Rogers Lady Katherine Silver Plate & AA1 Stainless Steel Set of 6 Dessert 8.5 in popular Table Knives - Sheffield England

A fabulous high quality, unused and rare set of 6 Vintage Boxed Stanley Rogers Lady Katherine Silver Plate and AA1 Stainless Steel Dessert 8.5 inch Table Knives. The distinctive and gorgeous decorative handles are silver plated with ridges and floral motifs at the end of the handle. Though the set calls these dessert knives, they are large enough to be used for normal table dinner knives. The 6 knives are identical design and size.

The stainless steel blades are each signed with "Lady Katherine, Stanley Rogers & Son Ltd, Sheffield England” and “AA1 Stainless Steel”. The silver plated handles are each marked with “Reg Design”. The AA1 stainless steel was particularly good quality Sheffield made stainless steel.

The Rogers Lady Katherine Table Knives are each 21.75 cm (8 1/2 in) long. The set weighs 455 g (15.9 oz).

The Stanley Rogers Silver Sheffield Dessert Knife set is in excellent vintage condition. The knives do not appear to have been used although the set is pre owned. Some tarnishing on the silver plate as with most vintage silver plate - will polish up nicely. The box is a little battered with signs of use and scuffing, but still works as a popular box. The set is packed in the original box which is covered in textured gold green paper and says “Rogers Lady Katherine Dessert Knives” and Stanley Rogers & Son Ltd, Sheffield England”. At one end, it also says “Rogers Lady Katherine Dessert Knives”. Has cutlery slots inside to keep the knives secure.

Stanley Rogers & Son Ltd was a well respected Sheffield cutlers, well respected for their high quality silver flatware. The set will nicely complement existing cutlery or add to a collection of vintage flatware cutlery. A set of unused vintage large 8.5 inch Dessert knives in this pristine condition makes this set a desirable cutlery set.

A wonderful set of high quality vintage Sheffield cutlery with amazing Lady Katherine silver plate handles. The addition of the Lady Katherine and Stanley Rogers name on each knife brings extra kudos to the set. Great to bring these out at meal times to impress your friends. Ideal for period homes and country kitchens.
