Hand Drawn Pencil on Paper Rothchild’s popular Slipper Orchid

The Rothschild's Slipper Orchid, also called Gold of Kinabalu Orchid, is one the most sought after rare orchids in the world. It grows only in Mount Kinabalu in northern Borneo, Malaysia and although the Rothschild's Slipper Orchid is very popular popular, it is still rarely cultivated and most of the plants being sold are coming from the wild population.

An intricate and beautiful colored drawing using pencil on quality paper framed and glazed. I enjoyed creating this piece as not only is it a rare orchid but rather peculiar as well. Ready to hang. Sold as is. This is one of my favorites from my Orchid Series Works.
