This is similar to another red plaid scarf I made recently. I frequently make similar items with slightly different colors, pinstripes, or proportions. I'm inspired by the scarf in front of me to improvise it for the next one. Blocks of dark brick red and blueberry with a random three color asymmetrical pinstripe in purple, cassis (a pinkish-purpleish shade), and green.

My marled merino popular scarf is my signature design. Woven of Australian Merino Wool (and/or Merino/Silk blend), they are warm, soft, and bulky to keep you cozy in the winter. Each is unique: from subtle to bold in solids, banded, stripes, and plaids. The marled appearance is achieved by threading and weaving three (un-plied) threads at a time.
