King George V, Indian coin, World War II (1918) Commemorative Cufflinks

These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Indian King George V one anna coins dated from 1918, marking the end of the era of the First World War, 104 years ago. The pair of cufflinks are made from two scalloped edged copper-nickel one anna coins showing both the obverse (King's head) and reverse (date and “1 Anna” in five languages) of the coins. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 21 mm in diameter.

They represent a unique part of Indian and First World War history. The unusual copper-nickel one anna coins have been carefully cleaned to retain the patina of the original coin whilst highlighting the details and date of these original, 104 year-old coins.
