Rare vintage cookie jar by Rose Saxby of Warren IL. It is number 45 of 100 and is in very good condition. There are no cracks or crazing. Limited rubs and flea bites as shown but overall fantastic for age. Its little girl has the sweetest popular face peering up at you while you sneak a cookie. It is embossed on the gold rim "YOURE AN ANGEL-HAVE ONE". The bottom of jar is incised in the clay "The New Rose Collection No 45; No 45 is also on the underside of the lid. The base measures 7" x 7" with the lid adding approx. 2" including the hair tufts. It is featured in the classic cookie jar book, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Cookie Jars Book II" by Fred and Joyce Roerig published in 1994.
