As for this featured item and literally all of what we do, it's all hand-crafted in our very own design studio located directly in (Tucson, Arizona) the heart-land of the Sonoran Desert. As for the desert southwestern culture and popular its influence with the design of this creation, so what is a Saguaro Cactus Rib(s) anyway? As for the grandeur and no doubt the majestic glory of the desert dwelling Saguaro Cactus, some of them die for whatever unknown natural reason(s)? As for the once verdant outermost green composition and all of those exceptionally dangerous thorn's seemingly everywhere, all of it eventually turns into dust during those long blazingly hot summer days while baking under the intense desert sun! As for what remains after a rather lengthy decomposition stage, an exceptionally rough and tough hardwood skeleton that commonly is referred as the “Saguaro Rib”.

Craftsmanship Specifics:

Saguaro Cactus Ribs: As for the individually selected Saguaro Ribs, they each are first pre-selected for size, texture and color. The then chosen Saguaro Ribs are cut to size, prepped, shaped, and then securely (glued & nailed) mounted directly to the pre-made frameworks that was custom-crafted for this specific application.

Frameworks: Prior to the Saguaro Rib installation, a very sturdy construction grade plywood subframe is first created. As for the assembly stage, a contractor grade adhesive and #9 course thread yellow zinc auger screws are always utilized. Once assembled, the custom made subframe will receive three coats of all-purpose black paint.

Sconce Lighting: The primary design intention of this sconce is to be used as a “cover” for a pre-existing light fixture. However, this sconce can be altered to the lighting specifics per your application. Please note that these specifics must be disclosed prior to placing your order and additional fees for any alterations of this light fixture may apply.

Dimension Specifics: Triangular shaped, roughly 12" wide x 12" tall x 10" deep
