Vintage large popular sterling bird mystery pendant

this pendant is large and handmade and a mystery as far as i am concerned. the bird has an East Indian feel, but really i have no idea. the shape is interesting, like a guitar or cello, and i am sure these plant and bird images have significance. if you popular have thoughts, i'd love to hear.... it's silver, 900 silver or sterling i am not sure.
