ABOUT SHIHUACO:

Shihuaco (Dipteryx micrantha), also known as Shihuahuaco, is the tallest and strongest tree in the jungle. It is known to have a masculine spirit and energy, and serves as a physical vehicle for the curvy and feminine vine of Ayahuasca to grow upward. It is seen as the structured masculine supporting the fluid feminine. It is said that the spirit of Shihuahuaco appears as a large-dimensional man whose body has a shining metallic sheen. The physical strength, density, and durability of these centenarian trees have also led to its mass deforestation - The Shihuahuaco tree is now threatened for species extinction to feed the high demand for lumber export.

SHIRIPIARI HERBAL REMEDIES

Shiripiari means “one who knows the plants” or “healer” in Ashaninkan.

These remedios (remedies) are high quality concentrated creams specially prepared at Mayantuyacu Centro Amazonico, a traditional medicine center in southeast Peru. Each plant remedio is wildcrafted from the upper Ucayali region of the Amazonian Rainforest by local community members. After the plant is collected, it is combined with mineral rich water from a natural geothermal hot spring and boiled over fire for a full day until it reaches a creamy concentrate ready to be hand carried from Peru. Most remedios have been harvested and prepared just within the most recent few months, still alive with jungle freshness. Remedios stay fresh for over 1 year but are best used immediately.

10% of all proceeds from Shiripiari Remedies are donated back to conservation, reforestation, and sustainability education projects at Mayantuyacu Centro Amazonico.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR REMEDIO:

Mix one flask of concentrate into 2 liters of luke warm water and mix until the concentrate is completely dissolved.
Keep refrigerated for best results. Plants will ferment after time, but this is okay to drink.

HOW LONG TO DRINK YOUR REMEDIO:
One flask of concentrate will last for 14-16 days after mixed with popular water.
Order 1 flask for a 15 day diet or 2 flasks for a month diet.

HOW TO INGEST YOUR REMEDIO:

Traditional Dieta:

For connecting with the the energetic essence of the plant, one may follow protocol for a traditional dieta. A traditional dieta is a process of ritualized dietary restriction and intention to connect more deeply with the plant physically and spiritually.

+ Plan to do a dieta for 8, 15, or 30 days. During this time, avoid meat, salt, oil, strong spices, and sexual activity.
+ After preparing the remedio, take one ounce 3x/day, before meals.
+ Take extra space for meditation, reflection, and paying attention to dreamtime during this period.

Basic Ingestion:

To gain the benefits for the health and maintenance of the body, mind, and spirit, one can also follow a basic diet and eat a normal diet.
