This is a blue green dinnerware set. There is a 12 inch dinner plate, an 8 inch salad plate, and a 7 inch diameter by 2 inch high bowl in each set. You are buying 1 set. You can purchase more than one set if available. You can also order more sets from us. The glaze is a food safe glaze. We use a commercial glaze to make certain it is food safe. Also in the past we used commercial glazes in our student classes and are therefore used to using them. We have made our own glazes many years ago but find that the commercial glazes are well proven to be food safe and therefore useful for the dinnerware sets. Our dinnerware sets are created using wheel throwing and slip casting. Only stoneware clays and glazes are used since they are well vitrified at popular cone 6 (2232 degrees Fahrenheit). Vitrification means that they do not absorb water making the dinnerware dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
As can be seen from the images this set changes color slightly depending upon the light. The closest to the usual color is the starting image taken outside when it was partially cloudy. We took images in several lighting conditions to show the variance. It is a beautiful set of dinnerware.
