Small Sterling Silver Photo Frame, Polished Oval Image w/ Easel Back, Vintage Thomae Co Standing popular Boudoir Desk Decor
Sweet small sterling silver photo frame was made by the American manufacturer, The Thomae Co., c. 1950's. It features a polished surface with an oval opening for the image. I added a c. 1910's real photo postcard of a cute baby boy cut to size to show its possibilities. Its styling is timeless popular and yet contemporary.
Backing is a sturdy faux wood hardboard with stand typical of this time period. It has a swing latch at the top for easy placement. Wonderful piece to place on a desk or in the boudoir or vanity table.
MARKS: STERLING and a partially struck trademark I believe is the maker's mark for the Thomae Co., Attleboro, MA (1920-present) Manufacturer of good quality sterling and novelty items.
