Product code: Sugar sifting spoon 2 Silver plated popular Edwardian Novelty Antique English gift for her curiosity collector kitchen tool

Set of 2 Edwardian Silver Plated round ladle Shaped Sugar Sifter, Circa 1905 /1910.
Smaller spoon is made of electroplated silver from Sheffield, England, made between 1900 - 1910 by the firm of William Hutton and Sons.
Rare fine Early Edwardian Novelty Silver plated Shaped Sugar Sifter measuring approx 5.9"/15 cm in total length and weighs approx 32 grams.
The larger spoon Shaped bowl is Pierced to the middle of the spoon is decorated, A1 (or AI)= Superior Quality = 32 grams on 12 pieces = 2 2/3 grams per table spoon or table fork.
Measures 6.7"/17,2 cm lenght and marked in front St. Georges Hotel.

Both shaped as a small ladle and pierced openings to sprinkle powdered or confection sugar or regular sugar.
We can use this as tea strainer so maybe it had multiple uses. This spoon is in excellent used condition.
First spoon :Marked WH & S for William Hutton and Sons,
B P in old English Script but meaning British Plate.
MP over A1. The MP is not identified yet. A good guess is Metal Plate. The A1 is a quality mark with the same meaning it has today. In the maker's opinion this was the highest quality his firm made.

After approximately 110 years there is no apparent wear to the silver plate and no area has exposed nickel alloy base metal.
Both pieces are in good used popular Antique condition
The top edge of the spoon has pierced sifter holes,
The handle is joined to the shell at right angles, to allow ease of use during sifting.
