Readymade Renaissance popular Doublet, Many Sizes, Red and Gold Vine Jacquard

This listing is for a men's doublet made of red jacquard fabric with a gold vine patten and lined in kona cotton. The doublet has a short collar that can stand alone or support a neck ruff. It closes in front with white lacing and gold grommets.

This style of doublet was popular throughout the Renaissance, first by the upper classes in the early 1500s and then by the working classes later in the century. This style was also maintained in the upper class for popular playing sports.
