Except for the blade part, it has an old-fashioned black finish (oxide film treatment). The gloss on the surface of the product photo is thinly applied with an anti-rust agent on the blackened upper surface. The handle part can also be drilled with a hole. Since this product is a knife, carrying it without a justifiable reason is punishable by the Guns and Swords Act. When camping or going outdoors by car, please carry it in a tool case and be careful not to be exposed to the eyes of others.

This TANTO blade is a blade forged (UCHI-HAMONO) by muster blacksmith.

The very first photo wrapped with paracord is the product

Unlike Western knives, Japanese forged knives are not manufactured from a single metal.

Uchi-Hamono in Japan uses HAGANE ("YSS", Aogami-2) for the middle blade and wraps the

outside with soft iron so that the soft iron absorbs the impact during use.

This will result in a blade that is highly durable against bending and breakage of the blade.

This is the same process as when making a Japanese KATANA sword.

In addition, the blade finish is "Kuro-uchi" (blackened traditional rust prevention) rather than high　

polished. The high polish finish looks good but will always rust as long as it is made of carbon

steel. Providing a black finish will delay the occurrence of rust. If you are looking for something

difference than other knives, it is a right one you to get in your new project.

You can chose your favorite handle and sheath your self then you can make your own TANTO.

Many people are spending more time at home now, so it's a good idea to make something.

The product will be wrapped with the paracord in the first photo.

If you don't like the paracord, untie it and it will be in the same state as (second photo).



NOTE: The very first photo wrapped with paracord is the product and the lest of the photo is just an image.

So, purchaser must make the handle and sheath yourself. The grip part of TANTO can be drilled, so you can attach your favorite

handle material.
