Vintage East German Porcelain Model of Goose Girl with Geese and Flowers

The marks to the base of this lovely ornament show that it came from the prestigious East German porcelain company Porzellanfabrik in Grafenthal and was designed by Carl Scheidig.

This company was well known for the quality of its goods as is evident in this piece which features a young goose girl herding her three geese whilst gathering flowers. The muted colour scheme add to the air of quality.
