This is a mug dyed with a bird and animal caricature by Hozamagama, a Kyoto kiln that produces Kiyomizu-yaki pottery.

A scene of a rabbit and a frog carrying a pot together. One frog and two rabbits are depicted.

The mug is made of porcelain, so there are no crazing and it is stain resistant.
The white color is also very strong, so the color of the drink can be clearly seen.

The slightly open mouth is very comfortable to drink from.

The rim is black because it is painted with iron, which is a common finish in good blue-and-white works.

The figure of a rabbit leading a procession fills me with energy! This is a dyed mug of a caricature of birds and animals from Kozanji Temple.

Item popular No. 3557: Sometsuke mug with bird and animal caricatures, pattern A, Hozan
