Vintage Art popular Deco machine age geometric gold tone brooch with large spinach green and orange marbled galalith, trombone clasp Jakob Bengel ?
Fabulous large Art Deco 1930s machine age geometric brooch with gold tone and a large curved piece of galalith in marbled spinach green and hints of orange.
This stunning piece shows a wonderful geometric, streamlined style from the 1930s popular Art Deco period. The piece feels beautiful when handled - high quality and smooth. It is beautifully engineered, with the galalith piece screwed into the brass / gold tone setting with tiny flat head screws. It fastens with a secure trombone clasp and pin. The clasp suggests it may be a French brooch - galalith was often used in France during this period, as well as other places in Europe, such as the Jakob Bengel factory in Germany.
The brooch is in very good vintage condition. This is a rare and stunning statement piece.
