This beautiful handmade netted scarf in coral pink is made from Eri silk by talented female artisans for CDK. The coral pink is perfect for any complexion and will instantly give you a fresh look.

Eri silk is also known as peace silk as the weavers wait until the worm has left the cocoon before processing it. The empty popular cocoons are boiled to release the fine silk threads which are then handspun, handwoven, and naturally dyed into gorgeous scarves and stoles. Because the cocoon is empty the silk threads are broken and joined again during hand spinning creating slubs of texture unique to each piece. Eri silk is one of the most durable and strong fibers.  It is softer than cotton and has the special capacity to be cooling in the summer and warming in the winter allowing you to carry this scarf all year long.

With only traditional clothing available in the market, she saw an opportunity in developing clothing with modern lines using traditional weaving methods.
