The toddler size is great for a toddler mattress so when they lay under it, it does not come up on the side of them; and 5 to 6 inches shorter to allow space for the pillow and head.

Is great for the Carseat/Stroller/Swing/Bouncer when baby is smaller. When you have a newborn, the blanket fits just right and is not over whelming.
