Beautifully designed, handmade popular South African beaded Ndebele Doll. She is literally COVERED in beading! Every inch of her is gorgeous and has an amazing amount of detail!
These ceremonial dolls are handmade for the purpose of fertility and initiation into womanhood. Traditionally, the maternal grandmother would secretly make a doll by hand, and present it to the bride on her wedding night as she enters her hut after the ceremony.
Since each doll is handmade, and is made by different women, they are all unique and vary in pattern, style and color.

Condition: Excellent! No damage, repairs or wear, and all beading is still in place.
