Product code: Set popular of 2 vintage WWII U.S. Navy Flag Shipboard Semaphores
This is a set of 2 Navy shipboard flag semaphores. Each measure 13.5" by 14". There are no wooden handles, just the flags. There are no maker's marks. Each flag is made of thin cotton canvas material. Each is also obviously worn and dirty. My father-in-law was in the Pacific in 1945 on the USS Towner (AKA 77) and on the USS Braiveus (AR 12). I assume these 2 flags are from then. The yellow and red flag means "O" or "Oscar". The blue and white flag means "P" or "Papa".
Again, these flags are dirty and worn. Please view the photos carefully and ask me popular if you need any additional photos because they are sold as-is.
They are sold as one set of 2 flags.
