The large specimen is a complete floater, terminated and crystalized on all sides, with no point of contact. The crystal points show defined color zoning with the purple internal popular amethyst phantoms and the top layer of development being quartz, resulting in the lustrous “ice cap” look. The unique quartz var. amethyst crystal has an almost faden habit of double terminated, enjoined crystals. Gorgeous coloration (an ombré of pale lavender, purple to white).
