A beautiful cast iron firebox frame or surround featuring an intricate pattern with crisp detailing that appears to be a recreation of a wicker pattern. This piece typically surrounds the firebox opening in the mantel. Originally this was held onto the fireplace opening by wires on the back of this frame which were mortared between bricks in the wall.
