RARE Vogue MCM Teapot Jamboree Shape Sovereign Potters China Mid Century popular Modern Viktor Schreckengost
RAREST OF THE RARE!
I really don't mean to be dramatic, but this is a unicorn and then some.
I *think* I have the details below correct but please forgive me if I've gotten something wrong.
In the 1950s I believe Viktor Schreckengost designed dinnerware for Sovereign Potters as well as the Salem China Company (their version of the pattern was called “daybreak-turquoise”.
The shape of the dishes by Sovereign Potters I believe is called Jamboree (as that is the name of the solid coloured pieces that turn up in the same shape). Sometimes the Sovereign Potters things are on Johnson Bros blanks - according to a 1952 Chatelaine ad they were affiliated with each other.
So, search though you may, you'll be hard pressed to find another teapot in this shape, in any pattern. Sadly, this unicorn has a crack and should either be professionally repaired or used for display only. There are also some flea bites on the spout that appear to be from the factory as they are under the glaze. I have most definitely taken this damage into account when pricing. Still displays beautifully.
It measures approx 9-1/8” from tip of the spout to the edge of the handle and is approx 5-3/8” tall to the top of the handle.

*This item has been posted using calculated shipping, meaning shipping has been calculated based on the size and weight of the box - see my interpretations/recommendations below (and policies for more details)
USA - I honestly just recommend choosing “Small Packet” (the cheapest) if it's an option; this will go by air and does NOT include tracking. I know you are used to getting things shipped with tracking but with Canada Post you're really just paying a $5+ more to be able to (hopefully) get updates as to where it is. It doesn't get there any faster. Both “Small Packet” and “Tracked Packet” can take up to 3 weeks (but is *usually* 10 days or less). If you don't see these options (likely because your box is large or heavy or both!) then “Expedited Parcel” will be your best/cheapest option and will INCLUDE tracking. “Xpresspost” and “Priority” also INCLUDE tracking.
Everywhere Else: Many of the things I sell will have “Small Packet - International Surface” as an option; it can take up to 12 weeks depending on your location. “Small Packet - International Air” is usually 2-3 weeks. The two options do NOT include tracking. “Tracked Packet”, “Expresspost” and “Priority” all do INCLUDE tracking.
Canada - You already know the trials and tribulations (and extortionate expense for smaller or lighter packages) of Canada Post. Sorry. All parcel options INCLUDE tracking at least!
**I pack very well, to ensure safe shipping.
