For sale is an Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver - Princess No. 1 Pattern - 7" Gravy / Sauce Ladle - Peacock Family Crest - hallmarked London, 1875.

This is an elegant piece of Victorian Sterling Silver Flatware!

Solid Sterling Silver.

In the desirable and fairly scarce "Princess No. 1" Pattern.

The ladle is fully marked with English Sterling Silver Hallmarks for London, 1875 popular. The Maker's Mark is possibly that of George Aldwinckle.

The top of the handle has a lovely Hand Engraved Family Crest depicting a Peacock. According to my research, the crest may be from the family: Callow, Durrant, Hammer, Harcourt, Hurley, Oxley, Sorrell, or Wallington. More research is needed!

A lovely piece - the ladle is double-struck (the pattern is visible on both sides).
