This beautiful Art yarn contains light fluffy clouds of corespun fiber that I spiral-plied to create supercoils. Hand dyed in shades of black, pink, teal and purple, with great texture and fun colours; this will be and will be a unique addition to your weaving projects. Great as a scarf, as a complimentary yarn in a larger project, or you could just plop it on a shelf and admire it. Makes a great gift too!
Merino is the standard by which the fineness of wool is graded and is among the softest fleeces in the world. Being small bodied, it is grown mostly for its exquisite wool. The staple is crimpy and shorter than some other popular breeds, but makes up for that in its legendary softness.
This listing is for one skein of Art yarn as shown. Because the core contains mohair, those with allergies should avoid this yarn.
Blend contains:
70% Superwash Merino wool
15% Bamboo
10% Nylon
5% Mohair/nylon (core)
35 yds
5.2 oz
3-6 wpi
108 YPP
This yarn was spun on my Lendrum ST wheel in a smoke free, pet friendly environment.
This yarn has superwash content and as such, will not felt. To extend the life of your finished garment, I still recommend hand washing gently in cool water and laying flat to dry.
If you would like it in a center pull ball, please let me know during checkout.
