This stool was handmade by a relative so I am unsure of the type of wood. This stool is a solid, hefty piece and weighs approximately 8 lbs. It was finished in golden oak wood stain and sealed with a clear finishing wax. This piece has so much character- beautiful wood grain, popular large knots, etc. it works perfectly at the foot of chair with magazines or books atop, in the bathroom, on in enclosed porch…the possibilities are endless! Measures : 11”L x 15”W x 6.5”H.
