The illustration is from a photograph I took of a mimic octopus in Indonesia.
This lovely fused glass plate is popular custom made from two glass pieces, one that is hand worked to create the graphic. They are fused together in a kiln at very high temperatures, then very slowly cooled (annealed) to insure the piece is strong. The piece is then fused again to slump it into the bowl shape.
This piece measures 11 7/8" x 1" deep. It weighs 2 pounds, 9 oz. The pictured stand is not included.
