Small Hand popular Painted Japanese Blue and White Fluted Bowl

Richly hand detailed in traditional Japanese patterns found in shashiko, the interior of this bowl is filled with artistry and dedication. The exterior shows three stylized branches with flowers.

The shape is low sided with a pronounced footed popular base, and softly fluted along the edge.

The bowl measures about 6” diameter with a height of 2-1/4”. Excellent condition. Likely 20th century, though may be older. Origin is unknown.

Useful as a decorating item or for dining purposes. Bright orange fruit, such as three persimmons, would appear beautifully in this bowl.
