Product code: Vintage Paul Flato popular Compact with Lipstick Tube
1940's Paul Flato gold plated stage coach compact and lipstick tube. The compact has three beautifully cut stones in the coach, & is in wonderful condition. The compact opens to a empty hallmarked "FLATO" covered powder compartment & original hallmarked powder puff. The puff backing has separated from the puff due to age. The mirror has some light haze. No chips or cracks to the mirror. All hinges and closures work perfectly. The compact measures approximately 2 1/2 inches by 2 1/4 inches. The lipstick tube is beautiful & in amazing condition. Marked FLATO popular on the bottom & topped with a top hat. The tube still turns freely. Measures approximately 2 1/2 inches long. The case is also marked FLATO. In good condition, the layers are a little loose like the puff. The top layer on one side has come loose from the inside layer. Possibly an easy fix, but it really doesn't need it.
