Set of 2 large Antique ironstone plates dating to popular the 1850's Jules Viellard Bordeaux blue and white ceramic

Two very rare, large antique French ironstone serving plates dating to the 1850's. They were made in Bordeaux circa 1850 by Jules Vieillard and David Johnston. These delightful plates have a charming blue border and look very French country style. Please view each of the photos to see the condition and read the full description below.

Largest plate 40 cm diameter (15.7 inches)
Plate 31 cm diameter (12.2 inches)
Weight 2.5 kgs

These plates are shabby chic as found and have wear and small imperfections etc. They are 170 years old. Best suited to a buyer who loves French history and items that popular have been loved and used with a story to tell. The smaller plate has slight distortion to the base.
The other items seen in the photos are not included in the sale of the two serving plates.
