Popular 1838 The River Raisin & Lake Erie R.R. Co. - Michigan

Original hand signed 1838 “Two Dollars” note issued by “The River Raisin & Lake Erie Railroad Company” in Monroe, Michigan. The note was printed with a popular plain back that has a signature dated 1838. The hand inscribed serial number is “820”. The River Raisin and Lake Erie Railroad started operations in 1836 and stopped service in 1840 for a total period of operations of 4 years.
