All of the baskets presented at SweetgrassByDesign are handmade solely by me. I am a third-generation sweetgrass weaver and I've been sewing baskets for over 50 years having learned the artistry from my mother. These baskets and the art of sewing sweetgrass baskets represent a rich history. Though each basket is unique whether large or small, round or oval, traditional or non traditional, they tell the same story. Each piece represents history.
