Hypnotic Artist-Signed Emil Brand Nautical popular Slate Etching

Artist Emil Brand is primarily known for his slate etchings (since he also paints on the slate, they are technically mixed media works); this is among his most accomplished--a house (or popular house-like structure) on pylons over a body of water (ocean or lake) on a moonlit night. With no fewer than seven distinct planes on the slate, the scene has literal dimensionality drawing the viewer in.

The slate is mounted on a 6" square porcelain tile with an affixed bracket for hanging. The work is in perfect condition, with no chips, flea bites, cracks, hairlines, scratches, or scuffs. A minuscule nick (see photos) on the edge of the porcelain does not diminish the value or beauty of this exceptional work.
