VERY RARE Antique Fabric Tissu Tapestry Toile Cotton Ticking Fabric Blue FADED Antique Pillows 1900s popular European Textile

Very rare vintage cobalt blue and white fabric with a medieval atmosphere motif. It is a European damask fabric from around 1950. This piece, recovered and freshly washed, was part of a mattress cover. This fabric is lightweight cotton. Perfect textile for upholstery projects, cushions, bags, etc. Large garlands of flowers surround the scenes: in one we see a knight's fight and in the other, the winner is declared to his lady who watches him from the window.

CONDITION:
Distressed. Some prominent signs of wear: may have significant losses, fading or structural issues. Minor color fading or discoloration Minimal scuffing or surface wear throughout the piece. Authentic hand sewn eyelets. This fabric is freshly laundered and ready to use. Despite all these imperfections it is a unique fabric. Maybe not for everyone. Incredibly beautiful and rare! Perfect for framing as a historical panel or for design inspiration.

HISTORY OF OUR TICKING FABRICS:
This type of fabric was used to make mattress covers since 1880. The motifs used are very varied: floral, oriental, country, palatial, or striped and the colors very bright. These fabrics were produced from 1882 to 1980 in the Area of Igualada, known for its textile industry. We have a collection of over 200 of these unique fabrics. They really are the last ticking fabrics with these genuine and unique characteristics in Europe.
